1. Who We Are
This Privacy Policy explains how Factor Hub (“Factor Hub,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, discloses, and protects personal information in connection with the website located at factorhub.io and any related web pages we operate (collectively, the “Site”). Factor Hub is an AI-driven software engineering company and a subsidiary of Common Factor.

2. Scope of This Policy
This Policy applies only to personal information we collect through the Site — for example, when you browse the Site, submit our contact form, or otherwise communicate with us. The Site is the “digital face” of our business: a place to learn about our services and products and to get in touch.
This Policy does not apply to any software products, applications, or platforms that we design, build, host, or operate for or with our clients (including, where applicable, our Learning Management, Matchmaking, Healthcare, and Project Management & Finance systems). Those products are governed by their own product-specific privacy notices and by the agreements between Factor Hub and the relevant client. Where Factor Hub builds or operates a product on behalf of a client, the client is generally the controller of end-user data and is responsible for its own privacy disclosures.
3. Information We Collect
3.1 Information you provide to us
When you use our contact form, request information, or email us, we collect the information you choose to give us, which typically includes:
- Identity and contact data — your name, email address, company or organization name, and any other details you include.
- Message content — the service or product you are interested in and the description of your needs or inquiry.
Please do not submit sensitive personal information (such as government identifiers, financial account numbers, or health information) through the Site’s forms. We do not request it and do not need it to respond to a general inquiry. If you choose to include information we did not request, you do so at your own discretion, and we will retain it only as part of the related correspondence.
3.2 Information we collect automatically
When you visit the Site, we and our service providers may automatically collect certain technical information, including:
- Usage data — pages requested and referring pages, as recorded in standard server logs.
- Device and connection data — IP address, approximate location derived from IP address, browser type, operating system, and device identifiers.
- Diagnostic data — error reports and performance data that help us keep the Site running reliably.
The Site does not currently use any third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking tools. The technical information described above is limited to the standard server and security logs maintained by our hosting provider to deliver and protect the Site. If we adopt analytics tools in the future, we will update this Policy first.
3.3 Information from third parties
We may receive limited information from third parties, such as analytics and security providers, hosting and infrastructure providers, and publicly available sources. We handle such information in accordance with this Policy and any additional restrictions imposed by the source.
4. Cookies and Similar Technologies
Cookies are small text files placed on your device. The Site does not currently set cookies of its own and does not use third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking cookies. Our hosting provider may use strictly necessary technical mechanisms (such as security-related cookies) that are required to deliver the Site reliably and protect it from abuse.
You can usually control or disable cookies through your browser settings. If you disable certain cookies, some features of the Site may not function as intended. If we introduce non-essential cookies in the future, we will update this Policy and our Cookie Policy and, where required by law, request your consent and provide a cookie-management tool on the Site before placing them.
5. How We Use Personal Information
We use personal information for the following purposes:
- To respond to your inquiries, provide information you request, and follow up about our services and products;
- To operate, maintain, secure, and improve the Site and diagnose technical problems;
- To analyze Site traffic and usage so we can improve content and user experience;
- To send you communications you have asked to receive, and — where permitted — occasional updates about Factor Hub (you can opt out at any time);
- To protect against fraud, abuse, and security risks, and to enforce our Terms of Use; and
- To comply with legal obligations and to exercise or defend legal claims.
We do not sell or rent your personal information, and we do not trade email lists with other organizations.
6. Legal Bases for Processing (EEA/UK Visitors)
If you are located in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, we process your personal information on one or more of the following legal bases: (a) your consent; (b) our legitimate interests in operating, securing, and promoting our business, where not overridden by your rights; (c) the performance of, or steps taken at your request prior to entering into, a contract; and (d) compliance with a legal obligation.
7. How We Share Personal Information
We share personal information only as described below and do not sell it:
- Service providers and subprocessors — vendors that host the Site, store data, and provide security, and communications tools on our behalf. These providers are permitted to use personal information only to provide services to us and are bound by confidentiality and data-protection obligations. Our principal infrastructure providers are described in Section 8.
- Corporate affiliates — our parent company, Common Factor, and affiliated entities, which must handle personal information consistently with this Policy.
- Legal and safety — where we have a good-faith belief that disclosure is necessary to comply with applicable law or legal process, respond to lawful requests from public authorities, protect the rights, property, or safety of Factor Hub, our users, or others, or enforce our agreements.
- Business transfers — in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, or sale of assets, personal information may be transferred as part of that transaction, subject to this Policy.
Where a third-party agent processes personal information on our behalf, we remain responsible for that processing as required by applicable law. Some pages of the Site may link to third-party websites whose privacy practices differ from ours; we are not responsible for those third parties. See Section 14.
8. Hosting and Infrastructure Providers
We build and host the Site using established infrastructure providers. Each maintains its own security program and privacy commitments, and each makes a data processing agreement available to its customers. We summarize their roles below based on the information these providers publish; their own policies govern their practices and are linked for your reference.
8.1 Vercel
We use Vercel Inc. to host and deliver the Site. In doing so, Vercel may process technical data such as IP addresses and request logs. Vercel states that it complies with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), participates in the EU–U.S. Data Privacy Framework, offers Standard Contractual Clauses and a Data Processing Addendum for cross-border transfers, and acts as a processor of customer data. 8.2 GitHub
We use GitHub, Inc. (a Microsoft company) as our source-code repository and development platform. GitHub primarily processes our code and developer-account data rather than Site-visitor data. GitHub states that it complies with the GDPR, participates in the EU–U.S. Data Privacy Framework, relies on Standard Contractual Clauses for international transfers, and maintains a published list of subprocessors. These providers and their commitments may change over time. We will update this section as needed, but you should consult each provider’s current policy for the most accurate information.
9. International Data Transfers
Factor Hub and our service providers may store and process personal information in the United States and other countries that may have data-protection laws different from those in your jurisdiction. Where we transfer personal information across borders, we rely on appropriate safeguards — such as Standard Contractual Clauses or equivalent mechanisms offered by our providers — as required by applicable law.
10. How Long We Keep Personal Information
We retain personal information only for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes described in this Policy, including responding to your inquiry, maintaining business records, and complying with our legal obligations, after which we delete or de-identify it. Actual retention periods vary depending on the type of information and the reason we hold it. Criteria we use include whether the information is sensitive, whether we are subject to a legal or contractual obligation to retain it, and whether retention is necessary to establish or defend legal claims.
11. How We Protect Personal Information
We use a combination of technical, organizational, and administrative safeguards designed to protect personal information against unauthorized access, use, alteration, and disclosure — for example, access controls, encryption in transit, and reliance on reputable infrastructure providers.
However, no method of transmission over the Internet or method of electronic storage is completely secure. While we strive to protect personal information, we cannot and do not guarantee its absolute security, and any transmission of information to us is at your own risk. In the event of a security incident affecting personal information, we will act in accordance with applicable law, including providing any notifications required of us.
12. Your Privacy Rights
Depending on where you live, you may have some or all of the following rights regarding your personal information:
- Access — request a copy of the personal information we hold about you and information about how we use it;
- Correction — ask us to correct inaccurate or incomplete information;
- Deletion — ask us to delete your personal information, subject to legal exceptions;
- Opt-out — unsubscribe from marketing communications at any time (this does not affect essential service messages); and
- Withdraw consent — where we rely on consent, withdraw it at any time.
Residents of California and certain other U.S. states have additional rights under laws such as the California Consumer Privacy Act (as amended by the CPRA), including the right to know, delete, and correct personal information and to opt out of the “sale” or “sharing” of personal information. We do not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined under such laws. We will not discriminate against you for exercising your rights.

13. Children’s Privacy
The Site is intended for businesses and adults and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of 16 through the Site. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information through the Site, please contact us and we will take appropriate steps to delete it.
14. Third-Party Links
The Site may contain links to third-party websites and services that we do not own or control. This Policy does not apply to those third parties, and we are not responsible for their content or privacy practices. We encourage you to review the privacy policies of any third-party site you visit.
15. “Do Not Track” Signals
Some browsers offer a “Do Not Track” (DNT) signal. Because there is no common industry standard for responding to DNT signals, the Site does not currently respond to them. We will update this section if that changes. Note, however, that we do not use cookies or similar technologies to track visitors over time or across third-party websites, so there is no cross-site tracking on the Site to which such signals would apply.
16. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, technology, or legal requirements. When we make changes, we will revise the “Last updated” date above. If the changes are material, we will provide a more prominent notice as required by applicable law. Your continued use of the Site after the changes take effect means you accept the updated Policy.
